Wild Alaska is a smaller place today. We've lost part of our heart and soul in the passing of our friend and family member Dr. Bob. No one shared the love of Wild Alaska more. He'd bend the ear of anyone who mentioned "fishing" or "Alaska" boasting of our little piece of paradise. His success as an angler is obvious but he played the self deprecating part of the "lucky" angler to a tee. Bob you will be missed, Wild Alaska wont be the same without you. May your heaven be filled with steaming bowls of crab bisque and screaming drags... Aaaargh.........just, aaaaaargh...... ... See MoreSee Less

Aaaargh...tis a fine day to be a land-lubber and this skippers happy to know his crews safe, sound and headed for home. Perseverance is tied tight in her slip an her two pups- Patience’n Fortitude lay quiet in their winter beds. Wild Alaska’s name has several origins. Not the least of which can be attributed to her weather..... Aaaargh.....it’s wild out there today....aaaargh...seasons over, thanks fir playing..... ... See MoreSee Less

Wild Alaska greeted us with a smile this morning as Perseverance reached the apogee of her final seasonal excursion. We are blessed with such a morning to begin our return.........a return to normalcy.... Aaaargh......”Wild Alaska, close nature, far from normal”... ....thank goodness... ... See MoreSee Less
One year we had to stop fishing there were so many humpback whales around us. They were bubble feeding, breaching, tail and fin flapping. It was so extraordinary and exciting. We were tired from catching fish anyway! Miss Larry and the fun!
